Andrew Hackett – Escape Yourself: Manifest Your True Self

Feeling Trapped & Don’t Know What To Do?

Have you ever felt trapped in your own circumstances? Or even like a prisoner in your own mind? These are signs that you’re not manifesting your true self. You’re allowing yourself to be hemmed in by the demands of the world, rather than the demands of your soul.

The good news is that we can all manifest our true selves and live better lives. You’re not condemned to feel this way. You can make simple but extraordinarily powerful changes in the way you approach the day-to-day and free your soul and gain immense benefits by doing so.

Let’s take a look at four ways that you can manifest your true self.

Be Aware Of Yourself

We’ve all had a moment where it’s clear that we feel we should stop doing something, or leave a situation and worse, we’ve all had a moment where we ignored that feeling.

Human instinct is a powerful thing. The most elemental part of our brains is the “lizard brain”, that’s the bit we evolved before our species became mammalian.

The lizard brain is carefully attuned to the world around us and it reads signals and cues that we don’t consciously pick up on.

You can learn to tune into this part of your brain and be aware of what it is saying. You’d be surprised at the subtleties that intuition can bring into your life as long as you let the lizard brain speak to you.

Act With Integrity In All You Do

Congruence is found in people who act and think in the same manner. It shows a level of consistency that other people can pick up on a trust.

The trouble is, many of us act an incongruent fashion, we’ve never really taken the time out to work out what’s important to us. If you don’t know what your values are and what your purpose is how could you act in alignment with them?

You can’t. The good news is that you can elicit your purpose and values. We recommend meditation as a good place to start, clearing out the inessential thoughts that plague you, gives you room to ask the important questions of yourself.

Meditating is free. It’s very good for your physical and mental health and you can start with just 5 minutes a day. It doesn’t get much easier than that, does it?

Own Your Own Truth

You can’t manifest your truth if you don’t own it. That means acknowledging that the past is the past and you can’t change it. It means looking forward to the person and the future that we want, instead.

Sure, you have been shaped by what’s gone before to some extent, but your past certainly does not control your future, unless you allow it to.

Let go a little and enjoy having learned and grown from previous experiences. Then put one foot in front of another and move forward unhindered by the baggage of the time before now.

Learn To Say “Yes”

When opportunity comes your way, learn to say “yes” to it. Don’t fear rejection or failure but embrace the possibilities that come to you.

Be brave, be bold and be all that you can be. The more you open up yourself to others and to the world, the easier it is to be your best self for other, the world and most importantly for you too.

Conclusion

Manifesting your true self is not a lofty unattainable goal sought by hermits and mystics. It’s a concrete process that anyone who wants to can come to grips with.

You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by starting on your journey, today.
