Jimmy Clare Shares Some Tips On How To Stay Positive

It’s easy to get bogged down by the negative aspects of life. The world can be a tough place, and it’s easy to dwell on the negative things that happen. But it’s important to remember that there is still good in the world, and that no matter how bad things might seem, there is always something positive to focus on. Here are some tips on how to find positivity in a negative world. Before you can look for the positive you have to first figure out what is negatively impacting you.

Ask Yourself What Is Bothering Me?

Lately in this negative world of ours I was getting bogged down by the negative and I started to ask myself what was bothering me and why am I feeling this way?  So, I decided to do some soul searching, which led me to figure out what was causing this negative outlook.

The News Is Negative

I don’t know about you but I do not like watching the news because of their biases and the negative news gets old after a while.  They only share some good news once in a blue moon.

Too Many Spam Calls, Texts, and Emails

No one likes spam calls especially the ones that impersonate companies to try to steal people data.  Same thing regarding texts and emails.  Google also allowed political spam campaigns through their spam filters in Gmail as well.

So Many Fake Offers

I love owning my own business but there are some days where I get fed up with it.  For example, there are people who get paid just to flood my inbox with fake offers and article contributions to my website.  It get overwhelming after a while that my Autistic brain can’t handle it after a while.

Feeling Very Unorganized

When I feel behind, and I am unorganized my brain literally shuts off and then my emotions get to me.  At that point I feel stressed and I no longer want to work on anything else.

Too Many Things Going On

Have you ever felt like you had too much going on?  I know that I have.  I am not saying it is bad to have many activities going on depending on if they or good or bad.  But, when you go from one activity to another one right after the other is just the worst.  By the end of the day you feel burned out.

Now that we’ve covered what was causing me to feel negative, I am going to talk about how I overcame these negative outlooks and turned them into a positive one.

How I Improved My Positive Outlook

While I talk about changing my mindset and outlook on things please keep in mind that this happened over time not overnight.  To help how I was feeling about things I had to set limits from:

No More Watching, Listening, And Reading The News

I tried watching, listening, and reading the news but I was just too unhappy so, now I either read the headlines or completely ignore it.  So, now when my parents turn it on I tune it out and leave the room or put my headphones on and listen to music.

Blocked Unwanted Emails, Text, And Calls

I am so proud of myself because I was proactive this summer.  Before I went back to college for another semester I finally buckled down and changed all of the emails on my accounts, blocked non contacts from texting me, and finally blocked political calls.  Now I understand why the song is called “Silent Night”.

Goodbye Fake Offers

While I was figuring out how to block all those unwanted calls, texts, and emails I discovered burner email aliases. They let me block the sender, which automatically sends those fakers an email saying this email no longer exists.

Feeling Very Organized

It has taken 5 years while running my business to finally feel organized.  Sure I still have some outstanding projects that are still a work in progress.  But now I make time to organize myself just a little bit each day to help my mental health.

I Have Enough Going On

A few years ago I felt like I had too much going on taking too many projects at once.  I had so many outstanding projects that it took me a year and a half to catch up. In 2022 I feel like I have enough going on that is not too overwhelming.  I found the sweet spot, which has allowed me to take three classes at once, run my business, and still have a life at the end of the day.

Figuring out how to manage these negative things in my life has led me to be more positive.
