Review HayMax – Hay Fever

Most of us look forward to spending more time outdoors and enjoying warm sunny days throughout the summer months, with our loved ones friends and family. But for some it can be a really miserable time of the year when the pollen count goes up and noses start to run. Hay fever or seasonal allergic rhinitis is an allergic reaction to pollen and other airborne allergens such as fungal spores. Most people who suffer from hay fever are allergic to grass pollen and many are allergic to tree pollen.

As always there are so many products on the market but, which ones do you choose to combat the onset of hay fever? Often we find by using over the counter remedies they can give you side effects and leave you feeling worse than you did before you took them.

Here at Equilibrando – Your Health & WellBeing Balanced Magazine we are always on the look out for quality products to review that are Eco friendly, that have not been animal tested, suitable for a whole range of our readers by this we mean suitable for everyone and their preferences i.e. suitable for adults, children, breastfeeding mum’s and vegetarians.

At the beginning of the Summer we were fortunate to be receive some natural pots of hay fever remedies from HayMax and asked to review some of their amazing products. One of our team members James who suffers badly with hay fever every year has been trialing those samples for us – HayMax Aloe Vera & HayMax Lavender. We’d now like to share his findings with you:

You wouldn’t think that something so small as pollen/fungal spores could possible cause so much disruption to your everyday life, believe me it can. With the onset of summer comes endless sneezing, a runny nose, a stuffed up nose, itchy and watery or streaming eyes, nasal congestion and a general stuffed up feeling in the nose and throat.  I know some people I’ve spoken to have also experience itching around the face and mouth including an itchy mouth, itchy roof of mouth, and a burning sensation in the throat, headaches and wheezing.

I think I’ve tried just about every hay fever product on the market over a number of years and also found I’ve ended up with some really uncomfortable side effects too from some of those products, but when you need to get through your day you’ll try just about anything to combat these symptoms right?

That’s why when I was asked to trial HayMax, which is a natural product I thought I’d give it a try. During my 1st day of this 30 day trial of HayMax Organic, Drug-Free Allergen Barrier Balm I found the balm did a great job of preventing me breathing in pollen from our garden.  After just a few minutes of applying the balm I was able to walk through our garden with confidence and spend some time smelling the roses – rather than fumbling around looking for tissues.

I particularly liked the fact that the HayMax Organic, Drug-Free Allergen Barrier Balm isn’t greasy and has virtually no lingering scent or fragrance, which made it unobtrusive even in business meetings. It really does work and I was able to forget about my hay fever and concentrate on the job in hand.

The size of the container made it easy to carry around in my pocket and the fact that its so easy to apply with my fingertips meant I could use it as and when it was needed.

Priced at £6.99, for a 5 ml jar, the HayMax Organic, Drug-Free Allergen Barrier Balm is great value for money and could quite easily last a whole season – depending on how bad your hay fever is. We noticed on the HayMax website you can purchase a triple pack for the price of 2 for £13.98 so, you can set yourself up for the summer season in advance, a great offer. Their flat rate shipping is £3.50 (UK) – £5.50 (worldwide).

Equilibrando – Your Health & WellBeing Balanced Magazine love the fact that HayMax is made from a blend of beeswax and seed oils, to which they add essential oils or aloe vera leaf juice extracts. Each variety works in exactly the same way, by restricting the amount of dust, pet allergens and pollen that get into the body. All you do is wipe the balm onto the base of your nostrils and around your eyes.

We’d like to give HayMax an 8/10 for their natural hay fever products HayMax as it’s drug-free, non-drowsy, has been certified organic and 100% natural. Thank you HayMax you have brought comfort to many including James here in our office and all with the use of natural ingredients.
