Review – Smith England Luxury Vegan Hair Care Range

With so many products on the market today how do you even begin to find what purchases would be suitable for your needs. Often we source our hair care products by recommendations from our friends and family or from an ethical point of view such as the natural ingredients used in the products, recyclable packaging or the ones that have not been tested on animals.

Here at The Energy Healing Magazine we have received some luxurious hair care products from Smith England’s hair salon based in Salisbury, Wiltshire to review. The team have been trialing the Colour Shield Shampoo and Conditioner from their Guardian range of products for the last month and we’d now like to share our findings with you.

We loved the idea that all of Smith England product range have been inspired by the British countryside. All of their product formulations not only have the delightful, fresh, fragrant ingredients of sandalwood, lavender, white-nettle and chamomile but they also concentrate on the very best cruelty-free, natural ingredients available.

The packaging Smith England uses for their Colour Shield Shampoo and Conditioner (Guardian Range) replicates the soft shades of lavender to compliment the uplifting aroma of peppermint and lavender found in these products. The Smith England product range are all proudly cruelty-free, vegan friendly and the bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic and therefore recyclable as well. Definatley a plus in our book.

The Energy Healing Magazine’s team found the Colour Shield Shampoo easy to use and a small amount of the luxurious formula gave a great lather as well as instant, noticeable hydration to coloured hair, that also increased with every wash… The fragrance is amazing enhancing the whole hair care experience and it’s also comforting to use products in the knowledge that they have No Sulphates, No Parabens and No Colourants in them. Our hair looked and felt healthier, which was shown in the shine once styled.

The Colour Shield Conditioner again was easy to use and once applied to the hair (away from the scalp) made it manageable and trouble free to comb out therefore maximising less damage to the hair – the two members of the team trialing these products both have shoulder length hair. This conditioner also had the delicious uplifting fragrance of peppermint and lavender.

A 250 ml bottle of Colour Shield Shampoo & Conditioner should last around a month depending obviously, on how often you wash your hair. We thought the way Smith England have priced their product range was a good one as if you purchase one item i.e. a shampoo this would be at a cost of £10. If you were to buy the shampoo and conditioner as a gift set throughout their range this would be £16 as saving of £4, which we thought was very reasonable for a luxurious treat. As it says on the box this would also make a lovely gift idea too.

We did also notice on the Smith England website that if you sign up to their newsletter this would give you a chance to enjoy 20% off your next order with them. Well worth doing.

So, to recap we loved the Smith England luxurious hair care products we have trialed for this review and the fact that they have thought as a business about the ingredients used throughout their range. They minimise the impact not only of the carbon footprint with their packaging but also from an ethical point of view with the ingredients they have sourced.

The Energy Healing Magazine would like to award a 9/10 for Smith England hair care range and would highly recommend their products for use with our readers.

An inspiration to other beauty product businesses.
