Karen Eccles – An Immersive Experience Healing Through Music

The Ultimate Escape

Even as a child, music was a form of escapism for me. It would ignite my imagination and transport me to places where I could be and do anything that I wanted, the possibilities were limitless. As an adult, and with a lifetime of memories embedded within me, music is still the ultimate escape. I will quite happily loose myself in a song, allowing it to take me on a journey.

It is no surprise that on discovering sound healing I felt instantly connected to it. A few years ago, my first introduction to sound healing was at a Tibetan singing bowl guided meditation, which is where I met my sound healer teacher. Already a practising Divine Empowerment energy healer it was not too long before I went on to train in sound healing too. Interestingly I knew that both practices would combine magically.

Expect The Unexpected

I always tell people to not underestimate the healing abilities of the bowls. They are indeed relaxing; they bring peace and calm to even the busiest minds, however their healing abilities go much deeper than this. Like energy healing, their musical vibrations and frequencies resonate deeply to a cellular level, shifting and dissolving emotional energy blockages that you did not realise you held within. And just like your favourite song they can evoke memories and transport you to places further than your conscious imagination could take you.

My training in sound healing coincided with the pandemic, which meant that in person sound healing was not possible. Initially I was sceptical about giving online sound healing because the Tibetan Bowl meditations that I had sampled online had not been very successful. The sound of the bowls did not travel well, they were not very clear, often they could not even be heard even when they were playing. Disappointed to not be giving this exciting new healing modality, I decided to experiment with using Divine Empowerment magic to see if it would help create a more vibrant online experience.

Set Intentions And Let Go Of Expectations

As energy healers we set the intention for the healing work that is required, we quieten our minds, put aside expectations, and ask the universe to deliver. This is exactly what I did as I prepared for a trial online session. I set the intention for the participants to be grounded and centred, for their minds to quieten, and for the sounds and vibrations of the bowls to be amplified so that they would be received as if they were in the room with me. I set my own thoughts and expectations aside to allow myself to be guided though the healing, connecting energetically to my guides, spirits and to the participants as I would in person and began.

The universe did indeed listen and energy healing worked its magic as I had hoped that it would.  I was over the moon with the post session feedback.  Those open to receiving the additional energy magic did in fact report to have felt the vibrations and frequencies ripple through time and space to them as you would in person.

Healing Through Music

Not everybody is open to energy healing, perhaps not understanding what they cannot see. However, many are more receptive to the bowls which are more logical and tangible as there is something there that they can touch and feel. I always ask for permission to use energy healing and I ask that hearts are open to receive. Just like your favourite song that can take you back in time, the intention setting that comes with energy healing appears to heighten the healing abilities of the bowls or any song for that matter.

Often when we have something that to us feels very natural and not out of the ordinary we will not realise just how special it is.

I would love to hear what your unique experience with music? Please comment and share as it might just make someone’s day.
